Vocal microphones (minimum 4 microphones, 5 preferred):

- Lead vocal 1 - 1 vocal microphone - Wareagle

- Lead vocal 2 - 1 vocal microphone - Brightstar

- note: Brightstar and Wareagle switch stage positions during the show.

- Background vocals (drummer) - 1 vocal microphone - Chris (can do lead vocals also)

- Background vocals (bass) - 1 vocal microphone - Art

- Background vocals (horn section) - the horns sometimes sing, usually through the horn mics, prefer a seperate vocal mic if available.


Drum set microphones - Chris - (total 10 microphones):

- Kick drum - 1 microphone

- Snare drum - 1 microphone

- Four mounted toms - 4 microphones

- One floor tom - 1 microphone

- Cymbals - 2 overhead microphones

- Hi-hat - 1 microphone


Percussion microphones (4 to 5 microphones plus direct box):

- 2 congas - minimum 2 microphones - Kiki

- electronic percussion - direct input - Kiki

- timbales, bongos, cowbells - minimum 2 microphones, prefer 3 microphones - Anibal


Chord instruments (guitar, bass, keyboards):

- Guitar - 1 microphone for amplifier. Sometimes he brings an accoustic.

- Bass guitar - 1 direct input - Art. Sometimes necessary to use a DI box for the bass. The input from his amp head can cause ground loop hum.

- Keyboard - direct inputs (submix output) - 1 mono or 2 stereo (prefer) - Mike


Horns (4 microphones total):

- Trumpet - 1 microphone

- Saxophone - 1 microphone

- Trombone - 1 microphone

- Trumpet - 1 microphone. The timbale player sometimes plays trumpet also.

- Drums: needs everything

- Horns: horns, keyboards, vocals

- Lead vocals: vocals, keyboards, guitars

- Keyboards: feed from mains - vocals, congas, horns, bass, guitar

- Guitar: needs vocals, keyboards, bass

- Bass guitar: needs vocals, keyboards, guitar, drums

Our preferred sound system requirements (for large or outdoor venues):

- 32 to 40 channel mixing console, 8+ channels compressed, 8+ channels gated

- 8 to 10 monitor wedges

- 2 to 4 side fill monitors

- 6+ monitor submixes

- 1 biamped drum fill monitor (1 18", 1 15", 1 horn)

- 4+ multi_effects units

- tri-amped mains with Crown™ power amps



The stage volume needs to be kept under 90 dB.

We are dependent on electricity. It is your responsibility to provide adequate electrical power. Unless the stage is specifically wired for a large entertainment act, we require a direct tap to the main electrical service panel, minimum 100 amp service, preferably 200 amps.
